The PRO's Pelosi, Reid and Obama
President Obama has yet to come up with a health care proposal that he can believe in and defend, if he did, then we would all know where he stands. For someone who loves to be on the dance floor he sure doesn’t have any steps worth following with the spotlight.
He has told his minions(Pelosi and Reid) in no uncertain terms behind closed doors, ” I want a single player payer plan that incorporates a public option and eventually will leave the US Government the sole beneficiary of health care.” Pelosi and Reid may, or may not be on the political gangplank in their district, or state but they know for a fact a large group of democrats are going to be teetering on the edge come 2010.
Apparently Obama believes a majority of democrats will fall on their swords for him in 2010 by voting now for this piece of crap legislation. Some Democrats are waking up and saying “whoa big fellas.” Bart Stupak (D-Mi)with his anti-abortion protection amendment he authored that says, using federal funds to pay for abortions with the new health care bill will not pass. Unless he gets his way, and he is not backing down for PRO’s, this bill is doomed. This guy has about 40 like minded democrats who know their ass is grass if they don’t stand up and be counted on this amendment. If the long toothed democrats call on their experiences of the past they will begin to abandon (like rats on a sinking ship) the plan knowing full good and well “Presidents come and Presidents go but I shall be here forever long after you are gone.”
Leiberman is bucking the Senate leaders and siding with the Republicans. I wonder if the MSM will pick that story up alike they did the sole Republican (Snowe) who voted for the bill in committee. After it is said and done there may be more senators from the left side of the aisle hopping on the bandwagon on the right.
Even with overwhelming majorities in both houses of Congress and the media riding shotgun, ”the PRO’s” still can’t get the job done which they personally should feel humiliated being a real PRO.
