Jonathan Gruber says $300,000 from Obama’s HHS does not influence his opinion.

by admin on January 9, 2010

Jonathan Gruber, MIT Professor,  has been on Obama’s HHS payroll since June of last year as a “consultant.”  What is the taxpayer getting for his $300,000 in consulting fees for 7 months?  We are getting an expert who happens to have a  pro obama health reform position.  I am not cynical, are you?

He wants us to believe that his opinion has not been influenced towards Obama’s health care reform push even though his analysis has been used frequently on different issues concerning health care reform and the promotion of Obama’s health reform initiative by congress and others.

His opinion piece in the Washington Post in late December defended the so call “Cadillac” tax that will be placed on high dollar insurance policies.  These high dollar policy tax schemes  are just another way for the Obama administration to redistribute wealth in this country and get full subsidized health care for the uninsured.

The administration realizes in order to sway the public,  and that his health care reform policies are for the good of the country, he has  to deceive the public with heavily influenced opinions from those who cave to the almighty dollar.

If  this health reform boondoggle is so good, why is the administration spending so much of  the taxpayers money  promoting it?  There are times that  movie studios , in desperation,  spend ginormous amounts of money promoting a “loser” knowing that the picture is very  weak, with little or no story line. Oddly enough, that kind of promotion doesn’t fool the movie going public either.

Hillary Clinton Flyer in the 2008 Campaign

Bribery has been shown to work effectively on Capitol Hill when it comes to members prostituting their votes for a cause. Why not go into the public sector and try a little palm greasing there also.

The Obama administration that campaigned on hope and change is quickly infecting the public with a cynicism like never  before seen in Washington.

Mr. Gruber, say what you want about money or power not influencing your educated opinion, but a country boy like me with a little bit of common sense would just opine, “boy, that dog won’t hunt.”
