Barack Obama ran on change in 2008. Not the 37 cents you have in your pocket, but real change which the voters confused for cleaning up Washington.
Voters consider Washington a cesspool of smoke filled rooms, back door deals and some out of touched politicians who would rather fly off on a junket to the Caribbean, than come home and deal with voter consternation.
Now that Obama has been in the Oval office approaching 13 months, and confused voters have figured out what he meant by “change,” there is a rallying of taxpayers to clean up Washington with their votes .
All that being said, the Democrats are turning on the President’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel for not pushing an agenda that was clear and passable.
The Democrats are turning on the President in a more subtle way. They will not be inviting the President to campaign for them in their districts. He is fast becoming a liability to career politicians.
The double whammy the Democrats face in 2010 and the remainder of Obama’s presidency is simple. A large number of Democrats will lose their seats, along with the President losing his Democrat majorities in both Houses of Congress.
The voters will summarily take Obama out of the political picture and place him in lame duck hell where he rightfully belongs for confusing the voters in 2008.
What is so important for voters is that our Democracy will work if we follow the Constitution as it is written and our leaders will work for us for a change.
Confuse me once, shame on you. Confuse me twice, shame on me.
