Huffington Post is reporting NBC says Charlie Rangel D NY is on his way to giving up his chairmanship of the powerful House position of the Ways and Means committee. Back in October I satirized his problems with the IRS.
When asked if he was giving up his seat as he left Nancy Pelosi’s office from a meeting that concerned his fate as chairman, he reiterated that he is still the chairman.
Rangel has been unwilling in the past few months to give up his position due to the fact his ego would not allow it. Now that some Democrats are ready to boot his ass to the curb and tick off the black caucus at the same time, he looks to be leaning toward walking away from the chairmanship.
It is stated that this is only temporary and as soon as he can finagle his way out of his personal and professional crimes problems he said he would return. Yeah Right!
With Democrats you never know what the next day will bring so we will have to wait until later to see if Rangel decides that his number is up and he has to begin answering serious questions about serious crimes and misdemeanors that he has committed over a long and “distinguished” career.
Watch for the black caucus to call it racism.
