President Obama had this quote about John McCain at the Democrat convention in Denver, ”
It’s not because John McCain doesn’t care. It’s because John McCain doesn’t get it.
Obama could take a little of his own advice today by listening to the American people and their denouncement of his welfare health care provided by the US Government on the backs of American taxpayers. Or could it be that Obama doesn’t care what the middle class thinks in regards to health care? We know He believes that 36 million people in this country deserve free health care regardless of what the majority in this country say.
What the taxpayers are saying is easy enough to understand, even for an elitist like Obama. “Fine, you figure out a way to provide these people with welfare health care by cutting other welfare programs that are wasteful and ineffective, but don’t ask us to give up any more of our freedoms and liberties through taxation to satsify your quixotic dream of a new America.
How did we get here?
Obama’s oratorical skills are known wide and far. He used these skills masterfully to lull a group of independents and moderates into his camp that gave him a 9.5 million vote victory over McCain.
A wrecked Chrysler Lebaron would have given John McCain a run for his money, but that is another story for another time. I digress
A strategy that was concocted by Obama’s team used phrases like ”hope and change, a new era, we are who we have been waiting for, etc…” These kinds of words hypnotized a large swath of voters into believing that Obama was going to change the way Washington does business. Get rid of the corruption, and the back room deals.
What they did not expect is Obama’s intent to change the way Americans do business, conduct their lives, and approach their decision making process. People, who for a lifetime, have gone to work everyday, paid their mortgage, raised their family, handled their personal crisis on their own, do not want government intruding into their lives and upsetting their way of life, and the freedoms they have enjoyed.

Many of these same people today are experiencing lost jobs, reduced incomes, no income, foreclosures, etc…never have these people asked for a handout from the government and now find themselves in uncharted territory. What do they hear? A constant droning from this President as he babbles ad nauseum about the need for health care.
People need their jobs back. People want the government to provide an environment that will stimulate old jobs and new jobs, by making it more feasible for investors and small business owners to get this economy back on its feet through tax cuts and tax credits for taking calculated risks.
Obama has majorities in both Houses of Congress. He does not need the Republicans votes to pass this legislation. Why does it not get passed? Here is a quote from Obama concerning well written legislation…
A good compromise, a good piece of legislation, is like a good sentence; or a good piece of music. Everybody can recognize it. They say, ‘Huh. It works. It makes sense..
In a nutshell, this is a crappy piece of legislation, written by a bunch of buffoons, on a roll of toilet tissue who want to get this passed as fast as possible because they know at the end of 2010 when they are voted out of office, Obama will be lucky if he can muster enough votes to pass gas for the rest of his term.
