I took my daughter to the DMV recently to try for her permit. We were told we needed an original birth certificate (not a copy), school transcript of grades from current semester, social security card. We had a birth certificate from the hospital where she was born and they said that did not qualify. I was told it was not official??? I would need to go down to Health & Human Services and get a “copy” of the original birth certificate on file with the county in which we reside. We are citizens of this country and we are required to jump through the hoops of hell just to get a beginner’s permit.
And now you tell me that individuals should not be stopped or asked to show an ID or papers because the law enforcement does not have the right to profile people and use their expert training to ask a person of interest if they are living here legally? In Arizona alone there are between 400K-500K illegal aliens.
When is our government going to enforce its own laws and seal our borders? What is the government doing to protect the employee base in our country?
Our government is window dressing this problem every 4-6 months, going in to meat packing operations or food processing plants and busting 150 people for being illegals. Catch them, send them home with a road map showing the closest re-entry points along our borders and then taking credit for keeping the “illegals” out.
The Democrats along with Obama are doing everything they can including breaking or denying the full effect of laws on the books to build a voting bloc for the future. We will begin hearing “amnesty” thrown around in the next few weeks in the halls of congress as new bills will be brought to the floor for debate.
Our country could use more DMV offices in the border towns of America along with INS offices set up next to it.
