Common sense is to politics what oil is to water

by admin on May 13, 2010

The peanut gallery in the stadium of politics is occupied with hecklers from the political party that happens to be out of power.  Right now the stands are full of right wingers throwing tomatoes and rubbish, rightfully so,  at anything the liberals say or do.

The stage is still being cleaned and washed off from the health care debacle earlier in the year. They may never get out all the blood stains that entitlement caused.

The people that are yelling the loudest today are a different crowd  from the past.  Washington is seeing for the first time a real viral pandemic of taxpaying voters who are dissatisfied with the direction this country is going in. Time is not on the side of the politicians.  Pols believe  with time, Americans will forget about what they are protesting about and go home feeling disillusioned and the inability to change anything with their voice of discontent.  It ain’t happening.

What is different about this virus is it can’t be cured or treated with  lip service,  a nod and a wink. This is a crowd with an attitude. This is a crowd of people who are brimming with education,  full of common sense, and the belief that sacrifice and hardwork will pay a premium in the future.

The thought process in Washington is topsy-turvy, upside down,  inside out.  Who would ever have thought in a million years that an immigration  law that is enacted by a western state that would protect the citizenry of this state  against an onslaught of illegal aliens would be considered racist and un-American. Who would believe that the congress would pass a socialistic health care bill that is the largest entitlement program that has ever been passed that will tax and fine the working American who believes in self-sufficiency if they don’t adhere to the government takeover of our medical and insurance industry.

The left wing, in its quest for power and control has lost the common sense that our founders possessed to architectually build our republic of laws. The laws today that have guided this country for two hundred plus years are laughed at, ignored and deemed useless in this new day and time. Laws that clearly state the lines and boundaries of the federal government are being blurred by the liberals.

Common sense will prevail in this country.  The threats and bogus claims by political supporters of illegal aliens will be dispersed in the near future.  An American with common sense can’t fathom what the left is trying to do in this country by granting amnesty to 12-15 million people who broke several laws to get here and  have no more a right to be a citizen of this country than we have to take over Mexico by force-which by the way has some of the strictest laws when it comes to visiting or moving to their country.

If you give me a choice between having common sense or not being perceived as a racist- I will take common sense everytime. If I was a racist, I would at least have a chance of being converted to do the right thing and turning away from a racist view.  There ain’t a whole lot you can do when you come across a soul who doesn’t have the common sense to come inside out of the rain.
