I grew up being too young to go to Vietnam. Some of the stories I heard, read, and saw on television news made me glad I was spared. The North Vietnamese army were Godless, immoral, tenacious and beyond the normal thinking when it came to fighting. They were guilty of committing unthinkable acts in order to defend their land and kill the invading enemy (US). Strapping explosives to children, then sending them in to mingle with US soldiers as the bomb ticked toward mayhem. Soldiers couldn’t believe people/parents would send their child(s) to die for the good of communism. Soldiers came back with post stress disorder afflictions and other mental problems, not able to comprehend the madness.
Radical Muslims train to fly planes into buildings, killing themselves and their hostages in the name of Allah. Who would have thunk it? Teenagers being wrapped in explosives and detonating themselves in a crowded marketplace, killing men women and children in the name of Allah. Fairly radical, wouldn’t you say?
Obama came from a background that taught him in order to succeed in changing the system, don’t bother with protesting. Protesting accomplished nothing. He came from the Saul Alinsky schoolof radicalism that said you need to be fully committed to do what ever it takes to get the job done.
This excerpt from Kevin Walker’s post in American Thinker:
Much of Alinsky’s work grew out of his disgust with the views of standard liberals of his time. Like with Kierkegaard’s disgust with the easygoing petit-bourgeois, or Nietzsche’s horror at the “last man,” Alinksy saw in the average American liberal a halfhearted attempt to feel good about oneself — claiming “I’m not racist,” and “I’m not rich,” etc. As he put it: “Liberals protest; radicals rebel. Liberals become indignant; radicals become fighting mad and go into action. Liberals do not modify their personal lives and what they give to a cause is a small part of their lives; radicals give themselves to a cause.”
In other words you need to do what your opponent would never think of doing. Lie, cheat, steal, committ violence, break things, whatever it takes to help your cause to succeed. We saw the way peaceful protesters at town hall meetings last Summer were talked down to and made to feel stupid by Bwaney Fwank. Workers at the SLRC in New Orleans were attacked, legs broken, fingers bitten, intimidated, etc…
Obama knows that the change he wants for America is not going to come easy for the majority of people in this country. It will take several years before the change is complete. Obama and his radicals have a foothold in accomplishing their agenda.
We have an opportunity and an obligation to set this country back on the tracks of conservatism, low taxes, controlled spending, pas as you go or don’t go etc.. on Novemeber 2,2010
