In the hour long interview. the conversation quickly went to hot button issues such as race, war, and the economy. The president was candid when it came to the discussion of race, saying people still must confront their “reptilian side” when dealing with people or different races.
He said,
“There is still kind of a reptilian side of our brain, that part of our brain that, if somebody looks different or sounds different, that there’s part of us that is cautious. And what we have to do is fight against that.”
Here is a clue Mr. President – that part of the brain is called “life experiences, wisdom, thought process, caution, don’t touch the stove to see if it is hot kind of logic,
