After reading Angelo M Codevilla’s piece about “the ruling class” in Washington,which should be required reading for those who care about this country and the direction it is going in, $13 trillion dollars in the hole along with $100 trillion dollars worth of unfunded liabilities in Social Security and Medicare coming due ….the conclusion to be drawn is that something seriously is wrong inWashington and a whole lot of someones are responsible.
The American people do not run Washington. The people don’t make decisions on how much to spend or what it is spent on. The people don’t write laws that are not enforced by the government like illegal immigration laws. Taxpayers in this country don’t legislate and regulate and mandate states to jump through hoops of fire, and if the states don’t, they don’t receive federal dollars that are rightfully theirs.
The taxpayers of each state send the money to Washington and Washington in turn extorts, mandates and demands ridiculous regulations on states in order for the states to share in ”federal” dollars.
Mandates are nothing more than Washington’s way of increasing its power over the states in order to further the federal agenda. In other words the Federal government is saying do as I say or you won’t get a dime of your own money back. States are forced into raising taxes and fees on their citizens in order to fully fund Federal programs passed on to the states that are underfunded on purpose by Washington. Washington can then say that they did not raise taxes on the citizenry.
The government get the states to do its bidding for them as they reform, conform, regulate and tax their citizens to no end.
The federal government, without remorse is driving our country over the cliff and into a river of red ink that is drowning our economy without so much as an apology or “we will do better next time.”
We the electorate have to get past the notion that these people are smarter, more educated, more intelligent and most of all, more Worthy to accomplish the business of the people. The promises of politicians are as empty as the head of the politician. These idiots have put us in the poor house. They have done it individually, and corporately. What that means simply is they all have to go. They need to be handed their hat and shown the door over the next 2 election cycles.

The popular interpretation is that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. However, this is often confused, as the ‘simple’ “is really referring to the theory with the fewest new assumptions.”
In a nut shell, the simple answer with the fewest new assumptions is the career politicians, free loaders, hanger ons and special interests have ruined the country and the lives of its citizens. These people have taken us down a path that we may never recover from. We are Americans first and foremost and if we are to save our country and restore the constitution that has been left in limbo by these joyriders-we must start in November cleansing the capitol of the vermin and the infestation of leeches and ticks that have infected our government and sucked it dry.
This cabal must be removed in an orderly fashion from our government through the election process. We as Americans need to pay closer attention to what is going on in Washington and continue making noises of disgust and reform and hold our state and federal officials responsible.
Republicans and Democrats alike are all guilty. Democrats will not listen to the voters as shown in town hall meeting. The Republicans either start listening or their heads will roll with their counterparts. This spend like a drunken sailor environment is going to end.
